Educare is committed to working with families. We strongly encourage families to participate in every aspect of their child's program. Parents are welcome to visit the center any time.  Parents are encouraged to share personal interests including hobbies, talents, cultural backgrounds, favorite recipes, etc.  

It is vitally important that parents communicate regarding their child's development openly with their child's teachers. Parents are encouraged to discuss developmental milestones and share any other
information that may be appropriate.

Online Tuition Payments

Online tuition payments are made via e-invoices emailed directly to families. Email educare@educatewithcare.com to request an online payment invoice.

ELC charges a 3% convenience fee for any tuition payments made by credit card (Mastercard, Visa) via Intuit Quickbooks Service. The bank-to-bank EFT (electronic funds transfer) is free to use (requires bank account and routing number).

Emergency Closings
Educare makes every effort to stay open for scheduled program hours.  However, we may be closed for
various reasons due to weather, community emergencies or world events.  In the event that an emergency occurs during the regular day's schedule at Educare, we will contact parents/guardians to pick up children.  The program will close after each child has been safely picked up by a responsible adult.  When inclement weather occurs please call the front desk at 301-834-9007 or visit this website to see if we will be in operation. An email will also be sent out the Educare email list regarding any changes to normal operation.

Holidays/Closings
Educare will be closed on the following holidays:

• New Year's Day*
  
• Memorial Day
  
• Fourth of July
  
• Labor Day
  
• Thanksgiving Day*
  
• Christmas Day*
  

If the holiday falls on Saturday, Educare will be closed on Friday.
If the holiday falls on Sunday, Educare will be closed on Monday.
*Early closure at 4:30 p.m. on the eve of each holiday (New Year's Eve, Thanksgiving Eve, Christmas Eve)

In-Service Days
Educare will also be closed to children for staff in-service days.  Staff will use these days to complete  training and work in the classrooms.

• Friday, August 28, 2020 (Friday before FCPS begins)
  
• Monday, November 9, 2020 (FCPS closed)
  
• Monday, January 18, 2021 (Martin Luther King, Jr. Day/FCPS Closed)

• June 2021 (Date TBD--Day after the last day of FCPS)
